Support in later life

The Terrys Cross Trust was granted Care Quality Commission Status in June 2021 (CQC Provider ID 1-10483100441). It took over from the previous charity with the same name, Trustees and staff. A small highly-qualified team strives to create a family atmosphere, supporting individuals to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. The team consists of a Registered Manager, a team leader and seven carers, four of whom are qualified, with NVQ Level 2 or above. The Care Certificate is also part of new staff induction. All staff undergo mandatory training and are reviewed on a regular basis. All new staff have a 2 week induction period, which gives them time to get to know the residents and staff. In addition, there are a housekeeper and two cooks. There are staff on duty 24/7 and there is an alarm system for use by residents. All residents have individual electronic care plans, highlighting their individual wishes and preferences and for recording their everyday support.

Residents’ comments:

I am happy to state that I am receiving excellent care in a friendly, comfortable and enjoyable environment.” (2021)
I am so happy and grateful to be at Terrys Cross, this is my home.” (2021)
It would be a gross understatement to use the term good.” (2021)
